Using IQF Method for Freezing

The Individually Quick-Freezing method (IQF) is a technique we use to freeze herbs, fruits and vegetables. In this method, the produce is rapidly frozen at a very low temperature of -40°C while in a weightless state. The fast freezing process prevents the formation of ice crystals in the interstitial water between plant cells, minimizing damage to the tissue and preserving the quality, freshness, flavor, smell, properties, and vitamins of the product.

Additionally, the weightless conditions ensure that each vegetable and fruit freezes separately and individually. One key advantage of this method is that it eliminates the need for preservatives since the low storage temperature of -18°C in the freezer prevents the growth of bacteria and microorganisms that can cause food spoilage.
